Hardy Gardenia

This is the best the gardenia have ever looked. I have Summer Snow & Crown Jewel in the ground. In a container I have frostproof which overwinteres in the garage.

No blooms on Crown Jewel, I think the summer snow gardenia is starting to overtake it!

The windmill palms are looking nice this week too!

My Tallest Plumeria

My largest plumeria is blooming better than ever! It's in a tiny container but has plenty of flower power. This year i have 5 inflorescences. The only problem is it's too high up to smell them! But that's what ladders are for haha.

BRINGING PLANTS INSIDE

We haven’t had a frost yet, and it’s another unbelievably warm week, but I’ve been busy bringing plants inside my house … well it was my house, now it belongs to my plants LOL. I cleared out my dining room to turn it into my plant room. But all the rooms in my house have plants crammed around the windows.

Although many of these plants could stay outside a bit longer, it’s easier to take care of it now instead of bringing them all in at once. This “elephant ear” is actually called a philodendron cortadum. It’s SUCH an easy houseplant and does great in shade during the summer. Look at how big it is, and it’s surprisingly light!

Staten Island in Late August - And some drone footage!

I've been SO lazy this summer, but I finally got my drone up for this update. First a few photos on the ground!

The Cannas are massive and we've had a resident hummingbird for almost 10 years that is truly obsessed with it.

My Adondila Christmas Palm that I've had since 2012. What an honor to still have it around!

Love this combo of Ensete and Caladium. The ensete was a discount this spring because it had no leaves. Now it's beautiful!

My largest plumeria, Salsa! I've been bringing it in since 2009

Look at that tasty fig! And the bottle palm too!

Hello from above!

I need a tower in my garden with that bloom. Look at the Trachycarpus, windmill palms!

Even higher!

For the phone viewers (honestly does anyone even look at this blog other than me HEHE)
Even higher

What a cool vantage point of the Trachycarpus

Hi!

Thanks for looking!
