My Tallest Plumeria

My largest plumeria is blooming better than ever! It's in a tiny container but has plenty of flower power. This year i have 5 inflorescences. The only problem is it's too high up to smell them! But that's what ladders are for haha.

Staten Island in Late August - And some drone footage!

I've been SO lazy this summer, but I finally got my drone up for this update. First a few photos on the ground!

The Cannas are massive and we've had a resident hummingbird for almost 10 years that is truly obsessed with it.

My Adondila Christmas Palm that I've had since 2012. What an honor to still have it around!

Love this combo of Ensete and Caladium. The ensete was a discount this spring because it had no leaves. Now it's beautiful!

My largest plumeria, Salsa! I've been bringing it in since 2009

Look at that tasty fig! And the bottle palm too!

Hello from above!

I need a tower in my garden with that bloom. Look at the Trachycarpus, windmill palms!

Even higher!

For the phone viewers (honestly does anyone even look at this blog other than me HEHE)
Even higher

What a cool vantage point of the Trachycarpus

Hi!

Thanks for looking!

A few Early August blooms

My Vanda orchid is blooming! This was a purchase from Spring 2023

Looking good next to the begonia vine (Cissus discolor)

Plumeria Inca Gold with Musa Sikkimensis and a HUGE Hedychium Fiesta that overwintered beautifully

The Tibouchina also began blooming. lots more flowers here than shown (just too lazy to take a good pic!)

At my parents house Hibiscus "Perfect Storm" is enjoying the summer sun!

And my largest plumeria makes a nice compliment to the sunset!

Dipladenia "Fired Up". A survivor from last year (I brought it inside!)

Canna Cleopatra

A view of the pool. The Cordyline Black Knight ti plant is as tall as me! Hedychium looks good too.

But the biggest treat is Plumeria Divine!

Zinnia in bloom!

Plumeria Jenny opens it's first blooms on Staten Island

It's been years since my Plumeria Jenny has bloomed! Last year I dug it up, chopped half the roots back, and replaced the soil. It seems like plumerias respond very well to this treatment! Everytime I've done this, it's been a huge success!

Plumeria Jackie opens it's first blooms on Long Island

This pagoda-type plumeria from Jungle Jacks has been a reliable bloomer and has fantastic form. I purchased this along with Inca Gold in 2017 when I was living in Florida. It's bloomed nearly every year and is not too large. A great plant!

Plumeria Melody just gets better and better!
