My Jiro Persimmon is holding onto 3 fruit. Hopefully the squirrels don't find them!
Pics of my "tropical" New York City yard. I am in a USDA gardening zone 7 and I use plants that are hardy to our winters, are easy to overwinter indoors, or use as annuals to get the tropical look this far north. Please ask for my permission and give me credit if you use any of my pics! Thanks for looking!

Early July in the garden
Things are coming together so beautifully after our extremely hot weather to kick off the month and much needed rain. Here are some photos!
Container Plants (False Agave, Agave desmettiana variegata, Triangle palm, geranium, ponytail palm, ti plants)
A few fun blooms from the first week of July
My Musa Nono Pink Banana
Logees only had 5 Musa Nono Pink bananas available and I was so lucky to quick to hop onto it! I added myself to the mailing list and happened to see the notification that it was in stock. I just lost my Musa Ae Ae to rot in the same day I got this so it was definitely fate!

A super boring plumeria update & hibiscus and oleander blooms!
Sorry not too many blooms here, but it's so important to document the blooms and the progress to get there, right? So not a very sexy post but I promise there are some blooms and fun surprises!
I potted up my Variegated Plumeria Maya
My tallest and oldest plumeria
